BRIDGE Framework

A holistic student journey from preparatory education to undergraduate study

Developed by Istanbul Kültür University School of Foreign Languages, BRIDGE brings student support, language enrichment, and project-based learning together within one clear pathway. The framework supports students' language development and confidence, strengthens their academic skills, and helps them prepare for undergraduate study.

Three Core Components

Component What It Offers Benefits for Students
Student Support Orientation and Student Handbook, Counselling Hub and Designated Tutors, office hours, individual or small-group support, Resource Bank, Independent Learning Support Centre, Student Quality Ambassadors, alumni and department head meetings, BRIDGE Workshops.   Guidance, adaptation, well-being, independent learning, student participation, and readiness for undergraduate study.
Language Enrichment Six-week ELS Workshop cycles across four periods, Academic Skills Support at B2 level, Masterclass Program (B2+) for students who successfully complete B2.     Development in speaking and writing, academic reading, note-taking, research, presentation, citation, and proficiency exam preparation.
Project-Based Learning through AI Competency     Poster Project and Presentation, Podcast Project and Showcase, Page to Podcast Project in the Fall and Spring Semesters. Activities conclude with research, collaborative production, and presentation.    Real-world use of English, collaboration, creativity, media literacy, and the ethical and responsible use of generative AI.
