
Following a comprehensive inspection conducted on 11–12 May 2026, Istanbul Kültür University School of Foreign Languages was granted accredited membership by EAQUALS, an international organisation committed to promoting excellence in language education. The inspection involved classroom observations across different campuses, focus group meetings with students and instructors, and a detailed review of the School’s academic and administrative processes. The accreditation, awarded following confirmation that all EAQUALS standards had been fully met, will remain valid until 30 June 2030.
The EAQUALS report highlighted the high quality of the School’s teaching practices, course programmes, course organisation, learning resources, and assessment and evaluation procedures. Its effective management and administrative structure, fully integrated and user-friendly information system, quality assurance mechanisms that translate student and instructor feedback into continuous improvement, and clear and consistent internal communication were identified as particular points of points of excellence. The report also commended the strong alignment between learning outcomes and assessment practices, the comprehensive moderation and standardisation procedures, the employment conditions supporting staff security and well-being, and the extensive learning facilities available to students and staff.
EAQUALS accreditation provides independent confirmation that the education offered by the School of Foreign Languages has been evaluated and quality-assured against international standards. This achievement reflects the University’s commitment to providing students with a high-quality, fair, and transparent educational experience fostering a supportive and development-oriented institutional culture for staff and maintaining a robust approach to continuous quality enhancement. Istanbul Kültür University School of Foreign Languages will continue to regard the areas identified for further development as an integral part of its quality journey and to advance its educational standards on an ongoing basis.
