In the fall term of 2020-2021 academic year, English Preparatory Class lessons will be given in both online and face-to-face sessions (hybrid model). The main principles of the model have been listed below. All the necessary details regarding the English Preparatory Class lessons will be explained to the students in the orientation sessions, which will be held online on October 19-20, 2020. In the meantime, we recommend you read the frequently-asked questions part on our website.

1. I have enrolled in a program where the medium of instruction is English, but I could not take Foreign Language Level Determination Exam (FLLDE) and Foreign Language Proficiency Exam (FLPE) for various reasons. What should I do?

Dear Students,
The English Proficiency Exam for double major and minor degree students will be held online on September 10, 2020. In order to prevent possible technical problems due to the pandemic, the exam will be held online and assess three skills (listening, reading and writing).
Our online exams are held on the CATS platform of our university. You can have access to the system by going to “cats.iku.edu.tr” with your username and password provided by our university.
Dear Students,
The English Proficiency Exam for undergraduate transfer students will be held online on August 24, 2020. The students are required to get a minimum score of 60 out of 100 points to be successful in this exam. In order to prevent possible technical problems due to the pandemic, the exam will be held online and assess three skills (listening, reading and writing).
Dear Students,
The English Placement Exam will be held online on September 08, 2020. The duration of the exam, which consists of 100 questions in total, is 120 minutes. Our students are required to get a minimum score of 40 out of 100 points in order to qualify for the English Proficiency Exam.
