Purpose
The Counselling Hub within RISE provides students with a clear and accessible support network for both academic and non-academic challenges. It ensures that no student feels lost or alone in navigating the university system by introducing them to their designated advisor and providing direct access to key university support services.
Academic Advisors
At the start of the academic year, each student is assigned a dedicated advisor, who will serve as their main point of contact for academic questions, concerns, and guidance throughout the preparatory program.
Advisors can assist students with:
- Understanding course expectations and assessment
- Navigating learning platforms like CATS
- Managing study plans and attendance issues
- Addressing classroom challenges
Advisor office hours are announced at the beginning of the semester, and students are encouraged to reach out during those times for one-on-one support.
Support Units
In addition to their advisors, students can contact the following institutional support units for specific needs:
For academic inquiries related to the preparatory program, English language courses, or exams. |
For help with registration, course selection, transcripts, or student certificates. |
For technical issues with platforms such as CATS, Orion, PUMA, or university email accounts. |
For support related to tuition fees, payment plans, or other financial matters. |
Center for Guidance and Psychological Counseling
For personal or emotional concerns, students can apply to meet with professional counselors at the university’s guidance center.
