Purpose
Giggle Games is a lighthearted, level-based competition series designed to make language learning fun, collaborative, and confidence-building. These activities promote creativity, community, and skill reinforcement without the pressure of grades or exams.
What It Includes
Throughout the academic year, the School of Foreign Languages will organize language-related contests and game events, tailored to the learners' language levels (A2, B1, B1+).
These may include;
- Story Writing Contests
Students submit creative short stories based on a prompt. Winners are selected by instructors or through student voting and receive certificates or small prizes.
- Spelling Bees
Classic spelling competitions held by level, encouraging accuracy, pronunciation, and vocabulary growth.
- Word or Grammar Games
How It’s Managed
Events are optional but encouraged, and announced in advance via CATS and social media. Participation may be tracked for RISE recognition or end-of-year celebration. The games are designed to be low-prep and manageable, led by instructors, advisors, or volunteer assistants.
