Dear Students,

The Foreign Language Exemption Exam will be held for students who have been admitted to our university through Vertical Transfer (DGS) and have enrolled in associate or undergraduate programs taught in Turkish.

The exam will take place on September 22, 2025 at 13.00 at the Bahçelievler Campus – English Preparatory Building.

You need to check your exam hall on the announcements tab of “25-26 DGS İng. Muafiyet” site on CATS (https://cats.iku.edu.tr/portal) or the announcements of https://ydyo.iku.edu.tr/ web site.

Our students are required to get a minimum score of 60-69 in order to be exempt from Foreign Language I and 70-100 out of 100 points in order to be exempt from Foreign Language I and Foreign Language II.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

1. The duration of the exam, which includes 50 multiple-choice questions in total, is 50 minutes.
2. In the exam, you need to have a soft-tipped pencil and an eraser that erases well.
3. You need to be on campus at least 15 minutes before your exam time.
4. It is highly recommended to review the file “ How to fill in the optical answer sheet?” on “CATS- İngilizce Muafiyet - Announcements tab.
5. We would like to remind you that it is the students’ responsibility to take the exams on time and follow all the announcements regarding the exam procedures.
